In line with Egypt’s national strategy for digital transformation across vital sectors, the Egyptian Unified Procurement Authority (UPA) has launched the new version of the MedIQ System, marking a major step toward a more unified, efficient, and transparent national procurement and supply-chain platform.
The launch event took place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Princess Fatma Academy for Medical Education and Training, with broad participation from UPA’s partner entities and requesting organizations — both in person and via online platforms.
This milestone reflects UPA’s ongoing commitment to modernizing digital infrastructure and integrating procurement operations nationwide. The enhanced MedIQ platform introduces a more advanced and user-friendly interface, enabling real-time connectivity between requesting entities and UPA’s technical and financial departments.
The upgraded system is now fully integrated with Microsoft Dynamics, enhancing financial data management, traceability, and auditing accuracy across all stages of the procurement cycle — from request submission to final supply delivery.
Enhanced Efficiency and Planning
The new MedIQ version aims to streamline procurement workflows, allowing faster and more accurate processing of supply requests, while supporting data-driven decision-making and reducing turnaround times.
It also introduces advanced analytical tools that strengthen UPA’s strategic planning capabilities, using predictive indicators and performance metrics to better forecast national medical supply needs and monitor implementation efficiency.
This development represents a significant leap in UPA’s digital transformation journey, reaffirming its role as the national leader in unified procurement and medical supply-chain modernization — supporting Egypt’s healthcare resilience and sustainability.
