Cairo, [18.10.2025] – Dr. Hisham Stateet, Chairman of the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply, and the Management of Medical Technology (UPA), participated in the inaugural Cairo University International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The conference was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouli and saw extensive participation from local and international ministers, experts, and leading global organizations, including UNESCO, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Health Organization (WHO), and numerous academic and research institutions.
The opening proceedings were marked by the presence of several senior dignitaries, including Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, and Dr. Hala Elsaid, Presidential Advisor for Economic Development. The high-level attendance underscored the national priority placed on leveraging advanced technology for development.
High-Level Session on the Egyptian Roadmap
Dr. Stateet participated in a high-level session focused on « AI in Healthcare: The Egyptian Roadmap. » His contribution centered on the UPA’s strategy for integrating AI and digital technologies to enhance efficiency, transparency, and data-driven decision-making within the national health supply chain.
