As part of ongoing efforts to ensure Egypt’s pharmaceutical security and strengthen the national healthcare supply system, Dr. Hesham Stait, Chairman of the Egyptian Unified Procurement Authority (UPA), held a weekly follow-up meeting with the officials overseeing the National Strategic Warehouses Project for Medicines and Medical Supplies — one of Egypt’s key national projects.
During the meeting, project managers presented the latest updates on implementation progress, reaffirming their full commitment to the approved execution timeline and adherence to the highest quality standards.
Dr. Stait emphasized that the Strategic Warehouses Project represents a cornerstone of Egypt’s health security strategy, as it aims to establish a sustainable reserve of medicines and essential medical supplies to enable rapid, effective response to emergencies and public health crises. The project is expected to significantly enhance the resilience and efficiency of Egypt’s healthcare system.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Stait extended his appreciation to all team members working on the project, commending their dedication and urging continued efforts to ensure the project’s on-time and high-quality completion. He further noted that this initiative aligns with the State’s vision for self-sufficiency in pharmaceuticals and the ongoing modernization of the national health infrastructure.
