On the sidelines of the Huawei Connect 2025 Conference and Exhibition in Shanghai, China, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Hesham Stait, Chairman of the Egyptian Unified Procurement Authority (UPA), and Dr. Ali El-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), led a high-level Egyptian delegation on a visit to Renji Smart Hospital.
During the visit, the delegation met with hospital officials to explore avenues of cooperation in medical technology and smart hospital development, as part of Egypt’s broader vision to strengthen digital transformation in healthcare.
Dr. Hesham Stait emphasized that
The Renji Hospital experience represents an advanced model of digital transformation in healthcare. Collaboration with our Chinese counterparts offers a valuable opportunity to support Egypt’s national agenda in medical technology, enhance healthcare efficiency, and advance the goals of Egypt Vision 2030.
According to Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, the visit included presentations on the latest digital applications and AI technologies used in hospital management and operations, as well as discussions on specialized training programs for Egyptian medical professionals in key clinical and technical fields.
The delegation also toured the hospital facilities to review global best practices in digital healthcare transformation and to identify potential areas for knowledge exchange and collaboration between Egypt and China.
