These workshops focused on integrating and utilizing the Unified Procurement System for requesting pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and medical devices.

The training sessions were attended by approximately 63 healthcare workers from the Dakahlia governorate. Participants received comprehensive instruction on:

  • Effective use of the unified procurement platform (MedIQ).
  • Correct completion of the medical devices request form.
  • Proper use of the medical device maintenance request form.

The sessions were led by a multi-disciplinary panel of experts, including the Director of the General Department of Training and Community Awareness and a Training Supervisor from the Customer Service Department, as well as an engineer from the Medical Device Maintenance Department, all representing the UPA. They were joined by Eng. Ahmed Elsadawy, Planning and Equipment Installation Consultant, and Eng. Ensuring Quality and Optimal Resource Utilization

The successful execution of these training workshops is paramount to the UPA’s strategy, which emphasizes capacity building to ensure the optimal utilization of current resources and adherence to the principles of HTA. By standardizing the requesting and maintenance process, the UPA is directly supporting the highest quality of healthcare delivery across the governorate.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Sherif Makin, the Undersecretary of Health, extended a message of thanks and appreciation to all participants for their dedication to elevating the capabilities of health sector employees. He stressed that maximizing the effective use of resources is essential for guaranteeing the quality of healthcare services provided to the Egyptian public.
